Step 1: Soak Start with 1-2 tablespoons of seeds. Fill the jar up with water to at least half full. Slightly mix them up. Set the jar standing up to soak for 8-12 hours. Step 2: Rinsing and draining Put the lid on. Drain off the soaked-water and rinse the seeds. Repeat for several times. After rinsing and draining, thoroughly set the jar on the stand with the lid down- this will ensure the remaining water comes in the plastic tray. Step 3: Rinse and repeat Repeat twice a day for thoroughly rinsing and draining. Then, the seeds are ready for “harvest” when the hulls or seed covers drop or float away during rinsing. Harvest usually comes in about 3-5 days.It depends on the variety of your sprouts. Step 4: Harvest When sprouts are ready to harvest. Give them a final rinse and remove and un-sprouted seed or seed hulls. Now enjoy delicious and nutritious sprouts.
