Great Product. I've had one of these Milk bottle for years. Unfortunately, I dropped it and it broke. Just bought this one to replace it. Very pleased with this product. I use it for Iced Tea. The pop on lid stays on tight.

What these cuz I couldn't find any large mouth half gallon glass containers to keep iced tea in I prefer not to use plastic doesn't keep things cold just glasses always better keeping things colder and allows you to see through it to determine how full or empty the container is it's a good product it's a good cap on it sturdy it's not hard to clean if you have the right tool to get down in there otherwise a good shot of dish soap hot water but the cap on it shake it up take the cap off rinse it out turn it upside down and let it dry it's fine

Our old fridge doesn't provide cold drinking water, but our well water is delishious (if a bit hard, and the drinking filter runs super slow) so we fill up a couple glass jugs of water to keep in the fridge and alternate. Its nice in the summer to have ice cold water anytime you're thirsty. But, one of our Pyrex jugs broke finally after almost a decade of use (the glass was crazy thin - suprised it took as long as it did). Instead of straight up replacing the pyrex jug, I opted for this brand because I like the lid and handle and figured, why not?I am really glad I did. The lid fits snugly on the mouth of the jug, sealing out weird fridge flavors. The little handle around the neck is very handy for grabbing from the fridge door easily. I got tired of filling my small reusable water bottle throughout the day and decided- enough is enough! I drink 1/2 gallon to a gallon of water each day depending on if I'm weightlifting or doing cardio. I love the wide mouth of this water bottle, the thick glass, the handle, the snap on lid and the narrowed grip section. I fill this up once to twice a day, put in a bunch of ice and I'm happy and hydrated. I realize that buying a dairy glass milk bottle and repurposing it as a water bottle is eccentric, but it was the cheapest and largest glass water bottle that I could find online. I hope to use this as my water bottle for many years to come!

I like these jars for storing milk so I came back and bought a second one. It arrived today and clearly has been used and does not appear to have been cleaned very well after There were large deposits of milk stone inside the container, it was damp and smelled a bit mildewy when opened. Also the seal for the cap was missing. I rechecked the description here and could not find any indication that these are used glasses and indeed the previous one I bought appeared to be new and clean. That said, I still rate this fairly highly because they are very nice jars that keep my (goat) milk tasting fresh for several days. 4/15/2018 Update - Still crazy for these bottles but the caps can be a little bit of a challenge for anyone with arthritis. The caps close perfectly tight but to take off the cap after refrigeration I needed to use a table knife to give it a little help. Over time the caps could warp and need replacement - So be sure to buy additional caps. I couldn't be more pleased with these half-gallon glass bottles. I bought 2 to decant a gallon of milk. They are the perfect size for the fridge, good and heavy glass with the plastic handle being a major plus. The plastic caps just pop on and off and I could see them wearing out a little over time so I also bought 12 replacement caps. Because they are glass, they can be put in the dishwasher. I bought this to replace a much loved, recycled, glass bottle that I had been using to make sun tea for years. The nice thing about this glass bottle is that it has a grip spot on it for your hand and a plastic lid. I like the plastic lid, because metal lids always seem to rust after some time. It also has this plastic handle that sticks out. I do not recommend using the handle for carrying, but it does have it's purposes!! I tie Lipton tea bags to the handle, so that they don't end up at the bottom of the jug. This is also beneficial, because I don't want to put the plastic lid out in the hot sun and have it warp. I put aluminum foil over the top of the bottle when I am making sun tea and then, I put the lid on the bottle when I bring it inside and put it in the fridge. Honestly, I am so

I love to keep milk ice cold in glass bottles. A friend had found some at Michaels with the cow on it, but it was only a 1 qt bottle. After doing some research, I found that the ones my friend bought with the metal screw on lids would grow black mold due to moisture in the lids. GROSS. We usually drink at least 3 gallons of milk each week, so I purchased 6 of these milk bottles from The Dairy Shoppe, I also purchased a 6pk of replacement lids. To clean I put a little Dawn in, add hot water, turn my bottle brush upside down, put a thin cloth around the end of handle, stick all the way down and clean the bottoms. I've also just rinsed and put in dishwasher with the lid too, in order to sterilize, and the bottles come out squeaky clean! We needed 6 of these, and use them daily multiple times!
