Feels high quality, holds it's self well, and durable

The item came in padding inside the Amazon padded envelope. The long arm was coiled in a loop inside the packaging. I was surprised at how much force was needed to straighten out the flex conduit which is sealed with what I believe is heat shrink tubing.Overall, the quality of the build is better than what I expecting.I scored Versatility at 4 stars because the screw for mounting is fixed and to get a tight fit you have to really take it out of the ball joint. While the knurled disk provides additional final tightening, it isn't a knurled thumbscrew as you find with most camera mount which let you place the camera and then tighten. -1 star: poor quality camera mount.Feels like it would take nothing at all to break this. It feels like a more brittle type of plastic, I wouldn't even think of taking it outside in cold weather, say if you wanted to clamp it to a porch rail to record something outsid.e-1 star: hard to position w/out pushing clamp off of whatever you have it clamped to.I hoped to use this when I'm recording training, but then move it out of the way the other 38 hours a week I don't need that camera.The arm is VERY stiff, which while some people think that's bad, I think it's good because it means it can hold my phone, not just a little web cam. Heck, I may even try it with my DSLR, although I think that may push it a little much.For me, I'd be ok with very stiff, hard to move arm b/c that's a trade off. H

I am very happy with this purchase. I was concerned it would not be rigid enough to hold in place with my Webcam on it. In fact it is almost too stiff! It takes a bit of effort to position it because it is so robust, but once it is in place it stands firm. The ball mount on top allows for infinite adjustment to make the camera level. I am now on video calls all day, and this is absolutely perfect for my needs.

This is designed to be used with lightweight cameras, but I wanted to try it for my Digital SLR, knowing my camera might be too heavy for it (This is my own risk, and I take responsibility for it). Anyway, it seems to work fine, though I will be careful, since it's somewhat of an "off label" use. The cable is very sturdy and the fact that it requires some effort to bend is a good thing--that means it'll hold your camera steady, in the position you want, without "wilting like a dying flower". The ball head joint is flexible and designed for a lighter camera (as the label says), and I can get it to work with my DSLR as long as I position the head and cable angle well enough to prevent any drooping due to the weight of my camera. This webcam mount literally came in about an hour ago. Took about a minute or so to set it up and get it working and I was back into my workflow, no problems. Not really sure what the complaints were about unless there was a different version offered before, but this thing is stiff!! Mounted to my desk, no problem, mounted my Logitech c920, no problem! I set it where I wanted it and it does NOT move. This is great if you are using multiple monitors (in my case 2 - 32" monitors) and need a place to put the cam so that it isn't sitting up too high. I would not try to put a large SLR or anything like that as it probably won't hold, but again, the title says "WEBCAM". Very happy and I recommend this product!

If you shake the table it shakes but the reason why I am giving a 5 star is that the arm can hold a whole camcorder! It's the strongest adjustable arm I have ever owned and when I say strong I have to use force to bend it! That's the best ever I have ever invested in, I was so afraid after I bought this that it would droop over or slowly droop in time but nope it is extremely strong, only Negative I have I wish it was a foot longer! For the material and strength it can handle another three feet without bending. So if your reading this add another 8 to 12 inches so us folks can move it anywhere or around anything

This jaw is life to me! I actually use it for way more than what it was intended for. The flexibility is perfect, perfect length, it's sturdy, durable and is perfect for getting those hard to achieve angles. It's as easy as a few twists and your ready to cam. You can clamp it on just about anything that is sturdy and will fit between the clasps, which goes pretty wide and tightens just right. I hook it to my Light fixture and it works perfectly together! I would purchase this product again and again if needed, but I think this one will last a great while. Thanks to AceTaken you hit it right on with this one! Well worth the small investment!
